DEFENS AL.UR-11 (1K) Acrylic – urethane enamel
Specifications
Used as a finishing weather-resistant coating. Provides a beautiful appearance and excellent protection against corrosion of steel surfaces. Dries very quickly and withstands atmospheric loads well. Can be applied up to 80 microns of dry film without running. The formed coating has resistance to saltwater, mineral oils, and sunlight.
Also used for the finishing painting of rolling stock in railway transport, containers for road and sea transport, metal and reinforced concrete construction structures, as well as other objects operated in conditions of medium corrosion impact from atmospheric and industrial environments. Recommended as a finishing layer on epoxy, polyurethane, and alkyd-modified materials. The service life of the coating is at least 10 years, provided that the surface is properly prepared and primed.
Can be applied by air and airless spraying, as well as with a roller and brush. Due to the low toxicity of the solvents contained in it, the enamel is convenient to apply.
Coloring in any color at the request of the customer according to the RAL scale is possible.
Requirements for the substrate
Steel and galvanized surfaces. The material is applied to a previously cleaned, degreased, painted, or primed steel surface according to the manufacturer’s recommendations or a pre-prepared (degreased) galvanized surface.
Previously painted surfaces suitable for repainting. Remove contaminants (e.g., grease and salts) that hinder application. Surfaces must be dry and clean. Old surfaces with paint that has exceeded the maximum time for applying the next layer must be sanded to roughness. Damaged areas of the surface must be treated according to the substrate preparation and maintenance instructions. The location and timing of the surface preparation for painting must be chosen so that the treated surface remains dry and clean until the next stage of painting the product begins.
Application
Before application, the enamel should be thoroughly mixed for at least 5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency appears. Apply to the prepared substrate by air and airless spraying, with a brush, or roller. To achieve the necessary working viscosity of the material, the addition of a mixing solvent, white spirit, is possible. The surface to be painted must be dry and have a temperature at least 3 °C above the dew point. The recommended number of layers is 1-2. Work should be carried out in accordance with the ISO 12944-7:2017 standard.
Packaging and storage
The paint should be stored in a tightly closed container, protecting it from moisture and direct sunlight, away from heat sources, at a temperature between -20 and +30°C. The warranty shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture without violating storage conditions. Minor separation is allowed during prolonged storage, which does not affect the quality of the material.
Cleaning of tools
Working tools and equipment should be rinsed with white spirit immediately after use.
Safety measures
This product is intended for professional use only in industrial facilities according to the recommendations provided here, as well as safety instructions provided to customers along with the containers containing the paint. All work, including the application and use of the product, must comply with health, safety, and environmental protection requirements, as well as all regional standards and instructions.
When carrying out painting work, use personal protective equipment. Avoid contact avec les yeux, les voies respiratoires et la peau. Tenir à l’écart du feu.
