DEFENS M 120 Fireproof paint
Fire-resistant water-soluble coating (reactive paint) to increase the fire resistance rating to R120. The fire protection compound DEFENS M 120 is an intumescent fire protection material designed to enhance the fire resistance rating of steel structures to R120 (120 minutes).

Purpose and scope of application
Intumescent water-based coating for the protection of steel structures of buildings and constructions.
Used in indoor environments with normal humidity (up to 80%), on new and previously painted elements.

Requirements for properties and substrate preparation
- The surface must be dry, clean, degreased, free of dust and rust.
- Abrasive or mechanical cleaning to Sa 2½ degree is recommended.
- Primer — compatible, recommended by the manufacturer DEFENS.
Requirements for application conditions
- Air temperature: from +5 °C to +40 °C.
- Relative humidity: ≤ 80 %.
Do not apply under direct sunlight or during precipitation.
Method of application
Application by brush, roller, or airless spraying.
Layer thickness per pass: 0.5–0.6 mm (max. 0.7 mm).
Complete drying: 7 days at +20 °C.
Quality control — measurement of thickness and visual inspection of the coating.
