Water-soluble thin-layer fire-retardant composition based on copolymer acrylic latex.
Specifications
Purpose
The composition is intended to reduce the fire hazard of wood and wood-based materials.
Field of application
– indoors in a non-aggressive environment;
– outdoors under a shelter in conditions of exposure to climatic factors with the use of a protective-decorative layer of at least 70 microns thick.
The type and thickness of the protective-decorative layer must be agreed upon with the manufacturer of the fire protection composition DEFENS W.
Surface preparation
The surfaces of wooden structures must be dry and clean, dust-free.
Working conditions
Work is carried out at air temperatures from +5 to + 35 °C and relative humidity not exceeding 80%. The temperature of the surface to be painted must be at least 3 °C above the dew point for the working conditions.
Application methods
Airless spraying with high-pressure piston-type equipment, as well as with a brush or roller (when applying to small areas and hard-to-reach places). The optimal thickness of the wet layer is 600-800 microns per coat.
Occupational safety
Harmful to health when inhaled and when it comes into contact with skin. Ensure adequate ventilation and use personal protective equipment while working. Avoid contact with eyes.
Environmental protection
Do not pour the product into sewage, water bodies, or soil. Dispose of empty dry containers in a landfill. Transfer liquid residues to a hazardous waste collection point.
Thinner
The composition is supplied ready for use. Dilution and self-coloring are not recommended.
Cleaning tools
Wash tools and hands with warm soapy water.
Type of packaging and transportation
Metal or plastic buckets of 25 kg. Storage and transportation at temperatures below 0 °C is not allowed. It is not allowed to stack more than three buckets high on top of each other.
Warranty storage period
12 months from the date of manufacture, provided that the container remains airtight and is stored within a temperature range of +5 to + 35 °C. The formation of sediment is allowed, which can be removed by mixing. The product is intended for professional use!
