The main stage of research on DEFENS fire protection materials
Conducting fire tests in a proprietary furnace on the production site. The testing fire complex is used to conduct research under conditions that closely resemble a real fire. Inside the furnace, the process of fire initiation and its development over time is simulated using burners. A sample of a steel structure treated with DEFENS fire protection material is placed in the furnace (DEFENS WD-1 Impregnation / DEFENS W Fire Protection / DEFENS MS Fire Protection / DEFENS MP Fire Protection / DEFENS M Fire Protection / DEFENS M 120).
Conditions under which product quality is checked
During fire testing, the temperature in the furnace rises above 1000 C. The temperature of the steel structure rises to 500-600 C. Depending on the physicochemical and technical properties of the fire-resistant coating, the duration of the tests can vary from 30 to 150 minutes. Using thermal sensors embedded in the steel structure, it is possible to analyze the rate and degree of its heating throughout the entire testing period.
The statistical data and information obtained as a result of such analysis are processed by special software.
