Polymer floors

Two-component epoxy composition with 100% solid content, which is a formulation based on epoxy resins. Specifically designed for creating thick-layered, industrial, chemically resistant polymer poured floors with an increased wear resistance rating. After drying, it forms a smooth and non-slip surface with high mechanical strength and chemical resistance indicators.

Purpose and Scope of Application

Used as the primary layer of seamless polymer coatings for application on concrete and other mineral substrates.

The coating is characterized by high strength and hardness. The fully cured coating has high resistance to water and aggressive environments of low and medium concentrations. It is noted for its high hygiene and fire safety indicators, as well as its resistance to atmospheric influences.

The composition is used for creating floors in production facilities of the food industry, including rooms with wet technological processes, in agricultural facilities (warehouses, greenhouses, nurseries, animal and poultry rooms), offices, medical and children’s institutions, trade and catering establishments, hotels, exhibition halls, entertainment venues, auto services, and parking lots.

In addition to industrial applications, Defens EF-121 is used for decorative finishing of floors in residential and commercial premises, giving them a modern and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Application Recommendations

Requirements for Properties and Preparation of Concrete Substrate

The substrate must comply with building standards: it should be strong, homogeneous, clean, dry, free from fats, brittle particles, and remnants of old coatings. The concrete surface must be primed with primers Defens PE-01 or Defens PE-02.

Before applying the composition, dust must be thoroughly removed using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
Material consumption: 2.0-2.4 kg/m².

Application Method

Pour both components into a mixing container and mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes using a low-speed mixer (300-400 rpm).

Do not mix components by hand!

Apply by pouring and leveling with a notched trowel.

Work should be carried out at a temperature not lower than +5°C.

Packaging and Storage

Supplied in airtight metal containers.
The set consists of two components (A, B), total weight – 10 kg or 20 kg.
Store in a closed container, in a dry place at a temperature from +5 to +30°C.
Shelf life – 6 months.

Cleaning of Tools

Wash tools with Defens Diluent EP solvent immediately after use.
Dried composition can only be removed mechanically.

Safety Measures

Use personal protective equipment.
Work in rooms with good ventilation.
In case of contact with skin or eyes – rinse with water, and if necessary, consult a doctor.
After drying, completely safe for use in residential, industrial, and public premises (food industry, medical institutions, children’s facilities, etc.).
